All payments for Papello orders are securely processed through Stripe, our trusted global payment provider.
You can manage your payment methods directly from your Papello Dashboard.
Adding a payment method
To add or update a payment method:
- Log in to your Papello Dashboard.
- Navigate to Account → Payment Methods.
- Add your preferred card or payment option.
All payment details are encrypted and securely stored by Stripe — Papello never stores or has access to your full card information on our servers.

How payments work
When you add a new payment method, Stripe performs a £0.00 pre-authorisation to verify your card.
No charge is made at this stage.
When you’re ready to place an order:
- Add your items to your basket on the Dashboard.
- Click “Submit Order” to confirm your order.
- A charge is immediately attempted on your saved payment method.
If payment is successful, your order will move straight into production.
If the payment fails, you’ll receive an email notification and the order will remain pending. You can then retry the payment or update your payment details at any time.
Accepted payment methods
Papello supports all major payment methods available through Stripe. Depending on your country and currency, this includes:
- Credit and debit cards Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
Automated order submission
For customers using automated or synced orders (for example, via Etsy, WooCommerce, or the Papello API), this process happens automatically.
If a payment attempt fails, you’ll be notified by email so you can quickly resolve the issue and avoid any disruption to order processing.
