Papello now includes built-in tools to help you visualise your artwork on real products before you print.
You can use these tools in two ways: Previews (when creating orders) and the Mockups page on your Dashboard.
The Preview button will appear for any variation that has a mockup available
1. What are Previews?
Previews allow you to instantly see how your artwork will look on a chosen product, directly within the Dashboard when creating an order or adding items to your basket.
When you assign artwork to a variation, you’ll see a Preview button next to any product that supports it.
Clicking this will automatically generate a high-resolution mockup showing your artwork applied to the product in real time.
What you can do with Previews
- Generate instant product mockups before placing your order.
- Download the generated image for your own records or marketing.
- Currently available on around 50% of all product variations, with more coming soon.
- Integrated with the Image Editor, allowing live updates as you adjust scale, crop, or placement.
Previews are ideal for checking positioning, margins and overall fit before submitting artwork for production.
2. Live Previews in the Image Editor
When you open artwork in the Image Editor, you can use the Preview option to see live visual updates as you move or resize your design.
This helps you confirm that your artwork fits perfectly on the selected product before you submit your order.
You can:
- Adjust position, size and alignment.
- View an instant mockup on the chosen product.
- Download the preview directly from the editor.
3. Using the Mockups Page in the Dashboard
The Mockups section of your Dashboard provides access to Papello’s full mockup generator.
You can access it here: https://dash.papello.com/dashboard/mockups
From this page, you can:
- Select any available mockup scene (product type or setting).
- Upload any artwork file, or select from your existing artwork library.
- Generate and download realistic product mockups in seconds.
Generated mockups are automatically saved to your Artwork Library and can be used for free commercial use, making them ideal for product listings, websites and social media.
4. Batch Mode for Multiple Mockups
The Mockups page also includes a Batch Mode feature, designed to save time when generating multiple mockups.
With Batch Mode, you can:
- Select several mockups at once.
- Choose one or more artwork files.
- Generate multiple mockups automatically from a single or multiple artworks.
This is particularly useful for artists and sellers managing larger collections or product catalogues, allowing you to produce a full set of marketing images in minutes.
5. Using Print Templates for Accurate Mockups
Each mockup is designed to align precisely with Papello’s print templates.
For the best results, ensure your artwork is created using the correct product template before generating a mockup.
For example:
- To fit the Mug Mockup, you should first create your design using the Mug Print Template.
- To fit the A5 Greeting Card Mockup, use the A5 Card Template.
You can create and manage templates directly in your Dashboard via the Templates page:
https://dash.papello.com/dashboard/templates
Alternatively, you can download ready-to-use templates for each product from our Download Centre:
https://papello.com/download-centre
Using the correct template ensures your artwork appears accurately positioned and proportioned across all product mockups.
